Varietal and Region
100 percent Chardonnay
Grand Cru Côte des Blancs Champagne from Cramant, Chouilly, and Oiry.
Lilbert-Fils Perle is a quietly extraordinary Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne from the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Produced by a tiny, historic family estate in Cramant, this wine is made from 100 percent Chardonnay sourced from old vines across the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly, and Oiry. The Lilbert family has farmed here since the 1700s, and this cuvée reflects generations of precision, restraint, and deep connection to place.
What makes Perle truly unique is its intentionally lower bottle pressure. Bottled at roughly four bars instead of the standard six, the Champagne has a softer, finer mousse that feels almost weightless on the palate. This gentler sparkle highlights texture and minerality rather than bubbles, resulting in a wine that feels creamy, elegant, and quietly powerful. Aged on lees for several years and finished with very low dosage, it is pure, focused, and unmistakably Grand Cru.
Tasting Notes
Transparent and mineral driven with notes of lemon oil, lime zest, green apple, fresh almond, and toasted brioche. The finish is distinctly chalky and saline, long and precise, with a delicate creamy texture from the fine mousse.
Pairings
Ideal with oysters, scallops, shellfish, sushi, or simply on its own when you want Champagne that feels refined and intentional. Also beautiful with soft cheeses, light poultry dishes, or elegant appetizers where texture and freshness matter most.
