Guy de Forez Brut Tradition NV is a confident, characterful Champagne from the often-overlooked but deeply compelling Aube region, specifically the village of Les Riceys. Family-owned and sustainably farmed, the estate is run by Sylvie and Francis Wenner, whose vineyards sit in a village famous for being the only one in Champagne with three AOCs to its name. This wine is their calling card and a clear expression of place.
Made entirely from Pinot Noir, this Blanc de Noirs is bold, tangy, and laser-focused. Expect vibrant notes of raspberry, cranberry, green apple, and citrus oils, all carried by high natural acidity and softened by three years of lees aging, which adds a subtle creaminess. The house often skips malolactic fermentation to keep things fresh and precise, resulting in a Champagne that is energetic, food-friendly, and deeply satisfying for lovers of Pinot-driven bubbles.
