Cristom’s Mt. Jefferson Cuvée is Oregon Pinot Noir at its most confident — graceful, layered, and deeply rooted in place. Sourced from the Eola-Amity Hills, this wine is a long-time favorite for good reason: it shows up vintage after vintage with clarity, balance, and just the right amount of wildness.
Cristom’s hands-off approach in the cellar (native yeast fermentations, whole-cluster inclusion, and organic and biodynamic farming) gives this Pinot its signature structure and aromatic lift. The result is a wine that feels lively and expressive now, but has the bones to evolve beautifully over time.
It’s the kind of bottle that works just as well for a weeknight dinner as it does for a special occasion and somehow always feels like the right choice.
Tasting Notes
Juicy black cherry, raspberry, and red plum mingle with notes of cola berry, orange peel, dried rose, oolong tea, and baking spices. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity keep everything lifted and energetic through a long, elegant finish.
Pairings
A natural with duck, grilled salmon, roast chicken, pork tenderloin, and cozy classics like beef bourguignon. Lovely with soft cheeses, earthy vegetables, and truffle-forward dishes when you’re feeling a little fancy.
