Orval Trappist Ale was the first “Brett” beer tried by many American beer drinkers, and it remains a favorite to this day. “Brett” stands for brettanomyces, a particular yeast strain that gives beer a dry, acidic and funky taste that has since become incredibly popular worldwide. For each bottle and case of Orval sold during the “Orval Day” Weekend, a donation will be made to Safe Water Network, helping to bring clean and sustainable water to people in Ghana and India. The official “Orval Day” this year is Saturday, March 23rd and we are celebrating at La Potato in Spenard!
