Mad Max is a local hot sauce maker with an uncanny knack for growing hot peppers. Inspired by his father making sauce when he was young and driven by desire to create art, Max started making hot sauce 4 years ago. He’s currently using organic aquaponics to grow 12 different varieties of peppers, some of which claimed first place in this year’s Alaska State Fair! On Tuesday, October 29 join us at Charlou for a guided tasting of his sauces, along with beverage pairings provided by La Bodega, and small bites provided courtesy of Charlou.
